Ninjas in Pyjamas chosen to play in Cologne's Amateur tournament
The final poll for Intel Extreme Masters Cologne determined the first team to play in the $30,000 Amateur tournament: Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Taking the absolute majority in the poll, Ninjas in Pyjamas won the vote with an impressive 57.7% and is the first team with a secured spot for the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Amateur tournament. The team around Bjergsen will face three other teams in Cologne for a chance at $30,000 prize money. 

 

European Poll results

  1. Ninjas in Pyjamas - 57.7% (seed into Cologne Amateur)
  2. SK Gaming - 30.3% (Seed 1 in Cross Realm Qualifier)
  3. MeetYourMakers - 17.9% (Seed 2 in Cross Realm Qualifier)


The other three teams to participate in the tournament will be determined through qualifiers. While SK Gaming and MeetYourMakers are seeded directly into the Cross Realm Qualifier, which will directly determine the three teams in a bracket of eight teams, the other six teams will come from the open qualifiers.


Three of the best teams on EU West and three of the best teams on EUNE will have a chance to play in the Cross Realm Qualifier on November 5th and secure themselves a spot at the offline event in Cologne.

  • Cross-Realm Qualifier: November 5th - 17:00 CEST

The final two teams for Cologne Pro

On the weekend, the final two teams in the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Pro Tournament have been determined through qualifiers in Turkey and CIS, on their respective servers. The two fast growing regions within the League of Legends community will be represented by Turquality Blue from Turkey and Miss Click from Russia.

 

The two teams will have to prove themselves against renowned professional teams such as Counter Logic Gaming, Fnatic, Cloud 9 and Gambit Gaming in order to win a share of the $50,000 prize money.
