FaZe Clan and North are the final invited teams for the CS:GO Intel Extreme Masters World Championship Katowice 2017
The lineup of invited CS:GO teams for Katowice is now complete. The remaining teams will be determined through qualifiers.

We are pleased to announce that completing the lineup of invited teams for the CS:GO Intel Extreme Masters World Championship Katowice 2017 are FaZe Clan and the newly established esports organisation, North. FaZe and North will join Virtus.pro, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis, SK Gaming, Cloud9, OpTic Gaming as well as four other teams which will be determined through qualifiers.

FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan are an European team with great players in their lineup but without a tournament win to their name yet. They compete at the biggest CS:GO events and some of their results from 2016 include:

  • 7th/8th place at IEM World Championship Katowice
  • 9th/12th at ESL One Cologne
  • 3rd/4th at IEM Oakland
  • 3rd/4th place at ELEAGUE Season 2
  • 1st/2nd place at the ELEAGUE major offline qualifier

This year, FaZe Clan will return to Katowice for another chance at a tournament victory. Will they succeed in the Spodek arena?

North

North may be a brand new organisation but its roster is well known and experienced as it consist of the ex-Dignitas lineup. The players parted ways with Dignitas right after qualifying for the ELEAGUE major and started a new chapter with the newly established North, an affiliate of FC Copenhagen and Nordisk Film. The lineup's most recent results include:

  • 1st place at WESG 2016 European Finals
  • 1st place at EPICENTER
  • 5th/8th place at ELEAGUE season 2

This will be this roster's first appearance at an Intel Extreme Masters event and we cannot wait to see how they will perform against their opponents.
